About the Author Lucy Krasno


After surviving a coma in 1964, Lucy Ana Krasno was diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus Type 1. Lucy received an Associates in Applied Science and Certification in Medical Assisting in 1983. She has worked for many types of Medical Practices and later worked for various corporations over the years.

Lucy received a 50-year Bronze medal award from the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, Massachusetts.  This award is only given to long-term Type 1 Diabetes recipients.
